Our family got Emma almost 6 years ago. She’s been an important part of the kids lives growing up and a great companion to me (especially when the kids are gone). Her 6th birthday is just around the corner — Halloween. We’re planning to do the traditional Emma birthday bacon-cake.

She’s been a good dog — really blossoming when we moved to our 5-acre property. She now has plenty of time to chase dear, rabbits, coyotes, and squirrels, but still would prefer to hang out with the humans or just take a nap. She’s starting to show a little gray this year but still mostly full of energy.
